Compared to seven years ago when I worked with a huge online store to launch a number 1 online skincare brand, in 2009 I started from zero, and founded Naruko. Cautiously and conscientiously, I went into the research arena and finally has some concrete achievement in three years, such as donating 20% of revenue for Magnolia Brightening and Firming range to TVBS Taiwan Culture Foundation. The donation has exceeded millions of dollars.
Naruko always adopts a cautious and strict attitude towards its products, so that consumers can receive the most returns from them. The research team upholds strict rules, such that a cleanser cannot be more than S$20, yet has to be formulated with superior amino acids that are common in counter brands. The concentration ratio also has to be most efficacious. That's why, sales staff frequently receive feedback that our cleanser has fine bubbles, washes off easily, doesn't leave skin feeling dry, and has great moisturizing benefits. Such comments make us pleased and touched.
Honestly, to achieve what I've mentioned, Naruko has to invest cost that is 3 to 5 times higher than market rate. But, what's my motivation? That's because the reason why I wanted to formulate skincare products is so that more people can purchase value-for-money products that work well. That's why every product goes through 320 days of incubation period to take care of the creative concept, professional research, choosing of containers, design of packaging and quality testing. We deliver products to our consumers with our conscience and business ethics.
Thank you for your support for Naruko in the last three years. By pursuing perfectionism, and not being cost-conscious, Naruko will continue to formulate high quality skincare products. And I believe that "good products will not go unappreciated". The dedication of the formulation team will definitely be recognized by more people.
Despite many cautious and conscientious tests, yesterday, a loyal consumer said she experienced redness and swelling on the skin because after using the products. I was deeply saddened after hearing this and immediately wrote her a card to apologise. I’m sorry that we let our consumer down and make them lose faith our brand. I investigated into the situation, and promised to be responsible for all related medical fees. I also gave her suitable products that can help improve her skin’s condition. Thankfully, after the sincere apology, the angry consumer was appeased and accepted our explanation and apology.
As founder of the brand, I am sure that Naruko consumers trust the brand because of their trust in me. I am thankful and at the same time,
believe that it gives me a heavy but sweet sense of responsibility. It is because of this load that I know I have to be professional, and because of this sweetness, I have been motivated to keep working hard for so many years.
In the future, Naruko will continue to formulate products that don't cause allergy, but I know even after multiple tests, isolated cases of allergy can still arise. No matter what, as long as I am still in the beauty industry, I will always remember and remind myself that I am not formulating products for money nor fame, but to allow more people to purchase best products at a low cost, because I spent my teenage years trying to improve my bad skin. This motivation requires your encouraging. And it is through your love and recognition that Naruko can continue to produce high quality skincare products.
